<mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" display="inline"><mml:msub><mml:mtext>AdS</mml:mtext><mml:mn>2</mml:mn></mml:msub></mml:math> near-horizons, defects, and string dualities

We construct a new family of ${\mathrm{AdS}}_{2}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{S}^{3}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{S}^{2}$ solutions to type IIB supergravity arising as near-horizon geometries D1-F1-D3-D5-NS5-D7 brane intersections preserving four supersymmetries. show that subclass these asymptotes locally the ${\mathrm{AdS}}_{6}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{S}^{2}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}}_{2}$ solution holographically dual five-dimensional Sp(N) fixed point theory. This suggests can be interpreted D1-F1-D3 line defects within this CFT. Switching off D7-branes, we act with $\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb{R})$ second related an ${\mathrm{AdS}}_{3}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{S}^{3}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{S}^{3}$ class M-theory backgrounds describing surface six-dimensional (1,0) SCFT ${\mathrm{AdS}}_{7}/{\mathbb{Z}}_{k}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{S}^{4}$. Finally, using non-Abelian T-duality classes ${\mathrm{AdS}}_{2}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{S}^{2}\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{S}^{2}$ IIA supercharges and elaborate on their origin.
